The Shelford Lodge is located three miles south of the city centre of Cambridge, on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Great Shelford. We are well situated for local medical facilities, with Addenbrookes and the Evelyn Private Hospital both nearby, Plus direct and easy access to Cambridge and all its facilities and attractions.

About Us

 

We opened in January 2012 offering budget friendly and informal lodge accommodation in a quiet village location. SHELFORD VILLAGE has a wide range of shops as well as banks, a Post Office, library, its own Health Centre, chemist, a river walk and St. Mary' Parish church.

THE LODGE IS NEAR many excellent places to visit, including grounds and tearooms of Wimpole Hall and the country park run by the Cambridgeshire Wildlife Trust in the grounds of the Iron Age fort at Wandlebury just two miles away. The Cam, the village of Grantchester and Byron's Pool are nearby, as are the many delights of Cambridge itself.

THE CITY OF CAMBRIDGE offers some of the best cultural, commercial and medical facilities in the country. King's College and the Fitzwilliam Museum are just two of the finest examples of what is on offer for those who take the time to explore the city.
